Hezekiah trusting God

                                                                                 Hezekiah 18:1-20:21

1. Hezekiah obeyed God by taking away graven images


2. He trusted God and the LORD was with him and prospered him


3. He didn’t serve the king of Assyria


4. He smote the Philistines


5. His enemies were against him, however he prayed to God and was saved from his enemies

God sent the Angel of the LORD and killed 185,000 enemies

When Hezekiah became sick unto death and Isaiah told him he would die, Hezekiah once again prayed to God and God gave him 15 more years to live. God also delivered him from the king of Assyria and defended him. Hezekiah trusted in God and obeyed God. That’s why God was for him and delivered him.

However, Hezekiah was human just like us and he made a mistake by showing all his treasures to his enemies. Finally, when his time came, Hezekiah died.

What one truth can we learn from this? If we trust in God and walk with him, he will be with us and deliver us in bad times. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
