Freedom in Christ
Many believers think we have to pay for our sins ourselves. What they fail to realize is that Jesus has already paid for every sin you could ever commit in his body on the tree where he died. We just need to believe it.
2 Corinthians 5:21 explains it very well. “For he, [God] hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in him”. God is Holy and when we think about how sinful mankind is, then realize that God put our sins on Jesus and he became a sinner, then he took Jesus righteousness and put that on us.
Therefore, in God’s eyes we are holy and righteous. The problem is that many people don’t want to believe that God could apply Christ’s righteousness to us. So, remember to thank God for all he has done for you. That’s the key to a closer relationship with Christ.
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.
