 What we deserve: Romans 6:23 for the wages of sin is death [separation from God]

       We all deserve hell for our sins.

What we receive in Christ:

Romans 6:23 but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord

 Eternal life with God in Heaven is a free gift. It is ours for the asking. We must repent and believe that Jesus took the punishment that we deserve.

Many people believe they have to earn their way to heaven, by doing good works, but the truth of the matter is that all our righteousness is as filthy rags in God’s eyes. Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags..

Jesus prays for us. Romans 8:34 It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

2 Corinthians 5:21 for he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. In other words, God takes our sins and places them on Jesus and takes his righteousness and applies it to us.

What about sin though?

Romans 6:1-2 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

God forbid. How shall we that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

A true believer would not desire to live in sin.

If you would like to receive Christ, pray and ask him to forgive you and that you believe he died for you.
