The Lord Holy Spirit is a God of revelation. Apart from helping the church of Christ in intercession, guidance and manifestation of divine presence, He also reveals things to his saints. He is a real person and He is 100% God. He is co-equal with God the Father and God the Son. He is omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent. Many people don’t know this truth but it is true. You may be wondering why I called him, Lord. The bible in 2 Corinthians 3:17 says, “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty”. The Holy Spirit is Lord. Just like our Lord Jesus Christ is Lord and God the Father is Lord. If you truly believe the three members of the trinity are one, then it shouldn’t be difficult for you to refer to him as Lord Holy Spirit. It is surprising that a lot of Christians don’t have a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit. Many believers have been erroneously taught that they should only pray to God the Father. They have been deceived into thinking that they shouldn’t pray to (or communicate with) Lord Jesus Christ and Lord Holy Spirit. This is a big error. If you truly believe that the three members of the trinity are one, then it shouldn’t be difficult for you to believe that you can communicate with (or pray to) Lord Jesus and Lord Holy Spirit as well. The error is the reason why a lot of believers don’t have a relationship with Lord Holy Spirit. They don’t communicate with Him. They don’t know him and they don’t reverence Him.

After our Lord Jesus Christ ascended into heaven, He sent the Holy Spirit to the earth but before He left the earth, He spoke about the revelation power of the Holy Spirit in John 6:12-13 where he said, “I still have much to tell you, but you cannot yet bear to hear it. However, when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak what He hears, and He will declare to you what is to come”. Lord Jesus Christ had a lot to say to his disciples but he couldn’t. However he promised them that the Holy Spirit would come and reveal everything to them and also reveal the future to them. Ladies and Gentlemen (brothers and sisters), that same Spirit of revelation whose coming was prophesied about in John 16:12-13 is here on earth right now. 1 John 4:8 says, “And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one (1 John 5:8)”. The Lord Holy Spirit is here on earth right now bearing witness. He bears record in heaven (1 John 5:7) and has been a witness on earth (1 John 5:8). Isn’t he amazing?
Apostle Paul knew Lord Holy Spirit as a God of revelation for he said in 1 Cor. 2:12-13, “We have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. And this is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words”. Through the communication of Lord Holy Spirit, we can know what the Lord has for us, for he reveals them to us. Halleluyah!
From today, decide in your heart that you would be closer to Him and would fellowship and commune with Him more than ever before. He has a lot to say unto you and reveal to you. I pray for you that Lord Holy Spirit would give you wisdom, knowledge, understanding and revelation, so that you would know God more and know what God has in store for you (according to 1 Corinthians 2:9-11 and Ephesians 1:17-23); and so that your eyes and ears would be open and you would begin to see as you ought to see and hear as you ought to hear in Jesus name (Amen).
