I Surely Could Have Blessed Days

If only I could return

Heeding to the lessons I did learn

Turning away from my sinful vile ways

I surely could have blessed days

Lord give me a mind to perceive

And see the vanity of my vain pursuits,

Turn away my reprobate-mindedness,

Help me to return to holy roots

Far we have come pursuing vanity and shame,

We have degraded ourselves and disregarded Your Name

And now we stand abandoned and deserted

Thy precious Word, to our disaster we had rejected  

And now the only way is to come back to Thee,

In repentance and reconciliation to be transformed to Thy will,

Then shall my mourning be turned into dancing,

My heart shall have overflowing joy to the fill.

Lord help me to come out from the snares I’ve been trapped,

And stand with freedom on holy ground,

Help me to find my all in Thee ever,

Sounds of joy and victory from my life shall resound.

In Thee and in Thee alone is my true solace,

I have been received back now by Thy abundant grace,

And now shall I never tread away from Thy ways

Continuing ever with Thee, these are my blessed days.
