Heaven Or Hell As Our Choice Has Required

Eternity is not so far,

For this journey we’ve already begun,

Yet we can be ensured of eternal heaven,

If our trust remains only in God’s Son

The time to choose is all we have,

While we dwell in this mortal flesh,

Yet all evidences shout aloud in alarm,

That we should ever stay away from the sinful mess

And once we leave this dusty wear

In this earth from where we have acquired,

Our souls shall proceed to our eternal abode,

To heaven or hell as our choice has required.

When this will happen, no one knows,

And thus today is our best chance to choose,

An eternity with Christ alone,

Or sinful ways and heaven shall we lose

God knows the time He has given us to decide,

And His message to us is loud and clear,

He has always encouraged us to stay with Him,

To dwell in peace and solace under His loving fear.

What shall we choose while our clock is still ticking,

Not knowing when this time shall expire,

As our eternity has already started,

It’s time to choose where we shall eternally retire.
