Lord May I Be Ever True To Thy True Love

I’m not supposed to play in the dirt and mud,

For I’ve been washed by the Savior’s blood,

‘A Redeemed person’ is my identity,

The sin of this world should never be my destiny,

Lord change my taste and may I be like one,

Who is dead to sin and never responds to its deceptive call,

May I be transformed from inside out,

Into the devil’s snare may I never fall.

Let me be fine-tuned to my Master’s will,

And take care to be obedient to Him alone,

May the Lord be the only source of all I seek,

For He on the cross all my sins have borne

Great peace have they who dwell within,

The horizons of Thy narrow way,

El Shaddai – The all sufficient Lord

Is their only peace and perfect stay

They shall not wander the sinful paths,

For their eyes are fixed on Christ their King,

Praising God is their daily task,

Songs of peace they shall ever sing

In His presence there is fullness of joy,

At His right hand are everlasting pleasures,

This is the heritage of those who seek the Lord,

Who in God alone find their all sufficient treasures.

Lord may I be ever true to Thy true love,

And may I ever be found faithful to Your call,

May my life be ever praising Thee alone,

Keep me I pray from every downfall.
