As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven. And just as we have borne the image of the earthly man, so shall we bear the image of the heavenly man. 1 Corinthians 15:48-49 NIV
Just as Adam, the first man was created from dust, so shall all flesh return to dust. The human body was not created to be an eternal body. Those who live in the flesh shall die and be buried, with their souls facing eternal torment. But those who belong to Jesus Christ shall bear the image of the heavenly man. For God created man in His image, intending that we be eternally in the presence of God through belief and acceptance of His Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. Yes, God has intended that we spend eternity with Him. We have been given that opportunity. But we must choose to so dwell. God will not force Himself upon us. What is most important to us? Is it this earth with its finite time and offerings, or is it eternal life in heaven, where the spirit shall live forever? Each of us must make the choice. Please choose wisely.

Our destiny is eternity and we should endeavor all the more for it, for the blessed eternity with Christ our Lord.
