Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 1 Corinthians 15:24-26 NIV

The end of this world comes with the destruction of all evil principalities. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. Death is the enemy as it is the opposite of life. When we have life in Jesus Christ it is because we have chosen, through Christ, to die to self. Yet self still remains, as all will not turn to Christ. Therefore evil remains. Before eternity can move on death will need to be destroyed. This is death of all evil. After having completed this, Christ will turn over the kingdom to the Heavenly Father. This in no way diminishes who Christ has always been, the Son of God. Yet Christ is under the headship of the Heavenly Father. The Father and the Son are one, just as Christ has told us. Evil and death will come to an end, destroyed by Christ. It is just a matter of time.
