But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. 1 Corinthians 15:20-23 NIV

It truly is amazing how God works. Through the first man came death to all through the disobedience of sin. And also through man, comes the resurrection. But this does not come just through any man, but through the Son of God. Yes, God incarnate. Imagine a tree in a garden. The garden represents heaven. The tree represents life on earth. The fruit on the tree is mankind. Some of the fruit does not properly grow and falls to the ground, never being good fruit. This represents unrepentant man. The first good fruit which falls to the ground is Christ. He was the firstborn to resurrected life. We who belong to the Lord shall also reach the end of our earthly life, and will depart from this tree. The good fruit shall be taken from the tree, selected by Christ as the ones who followed Him, believing in His death for our salvation. These will be brought to life and live in the garden (heaven). We shall not fall to the ground as bad fruit because Jesus Christ took the fall on our behalf. He is the one fruit which fell from the tree to be raised. The fruit which is not raised but has fallen shall be gathered up and destroyed. Which fruit are you? I pray that you are the good fruit which Christ shall raise to live in the eternal garden.
