For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied. 1 Corinthians 15:16-19 NIV

I believe that most who live for all they can, living for self, do so because they do not believe in a resurrection. Since they believe that all ends when one dies, they choose to live it up. Get everything you can out of life. By them, we who belong to Christ are considered to be foolish. They believe we are wasting precious time on something which does not exist. However, what mankind has considered as wisdom God has declared to be foolish. There certainly is life beyond the grave, and as followers of Christ, we live for the eternal and not the perishable. We have a mission given to us, to share the truth, that others might come to know Christ, and through Him be saved from eternity in hell. Share the Word, knowing that the resurrection is real and assured to us by Christ.
