The Jackpot Lottery Driven By Grace And Love.
Often in life when we continue with holy dedication enjoying the walk even though our heart is not void of a certain burden, He Who sits in the heaven keeps His eye upon us, probably more carefully listening to the loud echoes of the songs being secretly hummed within our heart with moist eyes, “Pass me not O gentle Savior, hear my humble cry, while on others Thou art calling, please don’t pass me by.”, we may be startled by the awesome presence of an unimagined brightness, little knowing that heaven has been instructed to open the miraculous provision gates for us.
“And the whole multitude of the people was praying outside at the hour of incense. Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing on the right side of the altar of incense. And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.“
Luke 1: 10-12 (NKJV)
It’s the day for Zacharias, the angel is here with a message, even though Zacharias was most earnestly desiring it, however was troubled when he saw the angel..
“But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth. For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink. He will also be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb. And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God. He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, ‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,’ and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”
Luke 1: 13-17 (NKJV)
What more did Zacharias need, for the message was not just for the birth of a child, but one who would be filled with Holy Spirit from his mother’s womb and who would be a messenger of God.
Often the blessedness in our children’s life is worth more than a thousand promotions and beyond millions we could ever earn.
Many of us have children, however how much do we endeavor and desire that they be filled with the Holy Spirit and tune their life with God, how much do we pray that they be elected by the Lord to bear His name and be a reason for His glory wherever they be, yet it is as if Zacharias has received the jackpot lottery which is not driven by the so called fate, but rather by the grace and love of God, Who is eagerly waiting to bless every earnest soul.
“For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.”
Hebrews 6:10 NKJV
“Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:
“For yet a little while, And He Who is coming will come and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.”” Hebrews 10:35-38 NKJV
God is good and we shall see this when we patiently wait for Him, for In His perfect time, He will let us know that He always loves us, even when we felt He’s absent.
