I Plead You To Divert Your Goal If You Really Want To Win
I’ve always wanted a place for myself for the position I do hold,
Yet this is not the norm being followed before the judgement seat I was told,
I cannot boast of who I am and of all that I have done,
Precious is everyone there who has believed in the Son
The poor are there and also those whom I’d considered were weak,
For the qualification of the inheritors was those who are meek.
The King loves everyone unconditionally and has no bias,
There I really knew the worth of living life truly pious,
My view of being a clever person ‘above all’ stands no ground,
My commanding voice that calmed everybody here has no sound,
All that matters is how I’ve lived and did I keep myself pure,
Here those who lived as per God’s commands only can endure,
I am really feeling out of place here and thus I asked “can I from this be exempt?”
The truth is “Appointed to all is once to die and then face judgement.”
If only I’d lived following what I once heard the preacher persistently did say,
“Repent and turn back to God and always follow God’s way.”
I’d ignored the call belittling the preacher and had often called him ‘a maniac’,
Now here I stand before the God’s judgement seat facing my life’s greatest havoc.
If you are too now in my path living your life in sin,
I plead you to divert your goal if you really want to win
For this fact will stand always true “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?”
So if you really want a blessed life, let Christ always be your goal.
