OPINIONS OF OTHERS DOES NOT MATTER

We are living in a society that places great value on the opinion of others. It is so integral part of our society that if you can swing the opinion of others in your favor to buy your product or to support your cause your marketing campaign will be considered as being successful.

These marketing campaigns  in itself is not wrong and the ability of people to express they own opinions through the power of their own free will is one of the key foundations on which  our democratic societies are build on. 

In the Kingdom of God the rules of opinions does not count though. In the Kingdom of God it is all about Jesus Christ because everything under heaven and in and under the earth has been placed under His feet by His Heavenly Father.

For us as children of God this is great news and a great problem at the same time for we must submit under the sovereignty of Christ Jesus while living in a society that values the opinions of others. The answer to this predicament is found in Matthew 22:37-40“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour thyself. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”(KJV)

 The above verse gives us practical guidelines in what to do in the situations where we must make decisions where we must put Jesus Christ first before the opinions of others. Firstly we need to understand that we need to value the opinion of Jesus Christ before the opinion of people. When we come before a decision we must consult Jesus Christ and His Word first.

 Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit will guide you to the correct people and sources in order for your to make the correct assessments about the decision before the decision is made and if He does not lead you to people and sources He will definitely lead you through His Word where the Holy Spirit will give you the supernatural wisdom and understanding to do what you need to do.

 People with a worldly perspective may not understand this method of decision making, but for the disciple of Christ this is the only way. We must honor Jesus Christ in everything we do and in this way bring the highest worship and glory that is only due to Him.

 If we value the opinions of people before the opinions of Jesus Christ and His Word we are really giving people the place of worship in our lives Jesus Christ ought to occupy. When we give people that place we give people power over us to exploit, hurt and disappoint us.

 Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and our Heavenly Father alone are faithful. People are mere human beings who can fall; therefore we need to learn only to put all of our trust in Them the Trinity and not on people, by valuing the opinions of Them more than people’s.
