THROUGH THE EYES OF A CHILD

We all have coping mechanisms in our lives. Some of us use work or play while some of us just switch out when it comes to handling the stresses of everyday life.

The truth is that we became so used to holding on to our favorite blanket that we have lost our capacity to trust and love in the capacity of a child. The awesome trademark of a child is that he or she trust openly that their parents will take care of everything therefore they explore the world with a  curiosity that is never ending and trust and love so openly that all things good flows through them without any hindrance.

Children remind us that there is still something good in this world and that there is hope of something better to come. When Jesus told His disciples that they need to become like children He understood that with open and free flowing love and faith comes a vulnerability we all want to hide from.

We became so accustomed to being protective of our own little kingdoms that we often miss out on the blessings our Heavenly Father has for us. Yes, we will get hurt. Yes, we will get days that we feel that dark clouds is hovering over us, but when we look at the small blessings around us that we often take for granted, we can start to appreciate them through the eyes of a child.

Through the eyes of a child the world is a place of beauty and dreams, a place full of adventure that need to be explored without any reserve of fear, knowing that they have a mommy and a daddy that will take care of their every need they may have.
Here’s the thing, faith was never meant to be understood by the theologians, but only to be experienced through the eyes and heart of a child. We are the Father’s and it is His Father heart to take care of our every need.

We do not need to worry about tomorrow, nor do we need to hide away when we experience difficult and challenging times. Once we learn to trust in the faithfulness of our Father’s heart we can start to experience the liberty of the Holy Spirit, giving us the freedom to experience the good blessings our Heavenly Father has given us with a curiosity and an excitement that will give us a new appreciation for life and the Giver of life as well.
