But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. For man did not come from woman, but woman from man. Neither was man created for woman, but woman for man. In the Lord, however, woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. God created both man and woman. He created them to be interdependent. Society has certainly evolved in the last 2000 years, and in many ways to the detriment of mankind. It seems as if much of the interdependency which God had intended to exist between man and woman has deteriorated. I am a novice at understanding the woman’s rights movement. Some rights which woman have fought for certainly were deserved. As an example, there is the right to vote. But has this movement gone to extremes? I certainly would not mean to put the fault for this solely in the laps of women. Has not man downplayed the role of the woman as God had intended?

Men, realize that unless you were the first man created, you came from the womb of a woman. Even the first man was created by God Himself. Men are born of the wombs of women. Was God’s intent for the man to be the bread winner of the family while the woman raised the children? Certainly the man does have responsibility in child rearing, but the mother would see more of the child during the day. Is the raising of children not of critical importance to the future of any and all generations? Why is not enough emphasis put on the value and importance of this?

Many women are forced into work as their man leaves them, shucking his responsibility to his family. Is this what Christ had intended? Has our society downplayed the importance of child rearing, thus causing woman to seek purpose in working instead? What would Christ really want?

I think the degeneration of the family has many causes, but do we need to ponder these questions? Do we really seek what God had intended, or do we search after earthly desires?

Nothing I have said is meant to condemn, it is meant as food for thought for us to think and live as God had intended for us.
