The Imperishable Crown

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way as to take the prize. Everyone who competes in the games trains with strict discipline. They do it for a crown that is perishable, but we do it for a crown that is imperishable. 1 Corinthians 9:24-25 NIV

The world goes for the perishable. Material items, fame and fortune, all which shall be gone, if not beforehand, then at the passing away of the flesh. Eternity awaits each of us. Why not spend your time winning the crown that is imperishable? Don’t consider that which is of this world worthy of your effort. Time is short. Work for that which will not perish. The road to be traveled to receive the imperishable crown is tough to follow and is very narrow. We though have been provided with the indwelling Spirit of God to guide us. Stay on the narrow road. Truly see that imperishable crown that awaits you! Live in Christ and it shall be yours!
