Obligated to Preach

Yet when I preach the gospel, I have no reason to boast, because I am obligated to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel! 1 Corinthians 9:16 NIV

When we share the Good News of Jesus Christ, we must not boast, unless we choose to boast about God and His love and mercy. Everything we have has been given to us freely. We deserve nothing from God, as we are sinners, yet, He loves us so much and provides a way for us to be reconciled to Him, through His Son Jesus Christ. And woe to us if we do not preach the Gospel. In Matthew 28 Jesus tells us to go forth to all nations, preaching the Gospel. This is not a recommendation by Christ, it is a command. The harvest is ripe and we have been commissioned to work therein. What an honor and a privilege it is to be a messenger of God’s Word to the lost souls of this earth. Go forth and share the Good News!
