Sharing In the Harvest

Yes, this was written for us, because whoever plows and threshes should be able to do so in the hope of sharing in the harvest. 1 Corinthians 9:10b NIV

We work on the harvest for the Lord, plant the seed of the message that hearing souls might come to Jesus and receive salvation through Him. We are sharing the work of the harvest. What shall we reap from this work? Imagine being in heaven and having someone approach you to say that the word of the Good News you had planted was heard by them and that they accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior. A soul eternally saved and you were a vessel for the Lord. He used you to accomplish His will. How wonderful would that make you feel? A soul eternally saved, snatched from the jaws of death. Might that thought send shivers down your spine. Eternity for another soul spent in the presence of the Lord. Do not be discouraged if you have not been told by one that the message you shared planted a seed. Wait for the Lord to one day tell you “Welcome blessed and faithful servant.” The devil will lie to you and tell you that you are a failure at serving God. Do not listen to Him. The indwelling Spirit will direct you. Be the vessel. Plant the seed. God will take care of the rest.

A great many have forgotten this obligation, which is so clearly and completely described in this writing.
Articles of this order are soon becoming the most effecive method of evangelism unto those whose faith is built upon social media and science. For them, there will not be the love of fellow church members pulliing them up from their pasts. For them, there is only what they choose to read and believe.
And there will be writers out there (like Mr. Crim) who will write to that end.
