What if God, although choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath—prepared for destruction? What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory—even us, whom he also called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles? Romans 9:22-24 NIV

God’s wrath shall come upon those who do not belong to Him. God is merciful and patient. He provides to all the opportunity to come to Him through the Son, repenting and having a change of heart. The hearts of too many though are hardened, and they will not change. God wishes that His glory and mercy be made known to those who belong to Him. He holds back His wrath on the unsaved that those who are saved see the righteousness and glory which are in God’s character. He wishes the saved to know that they are saved solely through His mercy and not through any human works. God is divine. He is Holy. He wants us to know that in Him we are made righteous through His Son, Jesus Christ. Be thankful that God is patient and merciful. If not for this one would not be saved from His wrath.
