Marriage

I married her because I love her
Her weaknesses are not ambiguous to me
But a resolution I have made to work with her
Until Jesus be formed in her

My hearts have I checked time and again
Its genuine motive for this woman I seek
But my findings are ever positive. I love her
I am convinced and persuaded of this.

I married her not for my selfish pleasure
For I reckon she also has an ultimate purpose
A calling though distinct yet complimentary to mine
That, I have resolved to help her achieve

Though she was instructed to submit to me
Yet, that gives me no right to exploit her
For whatever I do to her, I do to myself
For she is wholly part of me

I married her because she is my friend
Although friends do sometimes disagree
True friends are not afraid of being wrong
They always learn and grow together
