“Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:9-14 NIV
Many things are occurring in the world today that might make one think the end is near. We must remember though that no one knows the day or the time except for the Heavenly Father.
We do have many people who hate Christians. This though has not gotten to the point of which Jesus speaks. In most cases, Christians are just ignored by those who are of this world. Some are agitated. And yes, there are places where Christians are imprisoned, or put to death. There does not yet appear to be a wide spread turning away from faith by those who are believers. Anyway, we should not spend much time thinking of the end times. What we need to focus on is spreading the Good News. The harvest is ripe for picking. Many souls are searching for truth and a purposeful life.
We, who know the Lord, realize that which is the answer to what these who are seeking need. We must proclaim the Good News to all. Souls need to be won for Christ. We can help to plant the seed. God does the nurturing required. So, share with all about the Lord. He smiles down upon you.
