“You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell? Therefore I am sending you prophets and sages and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town. And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. Truly I tell you, all this will come on this generation. Matthew 23:33-36 NIV

This is most likely the severest, most intensified, utterance of judgement of our Lord. He spoke here to those who, though they had seen much work done by Him in the Father’s name, rejected all that He did and planned out the Lord’s demise. There is no way to less intensify the damnation which those who plotted against Him would face.

Those of today who directly work at thwarting Christianity, and the followers of the Lord, through persecution, shall also face a terrible fate. Do not allow yourself to stay in the presence of such people.

Keep sharing God’s word with those you meet. Share the Good News. God watches over you and is your protection from those who plant evil deeds against the followers of Christ.
