UBUNTU… I am because we are “I am what I am because of who we all are”

Ubuntu is a complex word from the Nguni language with several definitions, all of them difficult to translate into English. At the heart of each definition, though, is the connectedness that exists or should exist between people.

Ubuntu is best known outside the continent of Africa; as a humanist philosophy associated with Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Desmond Tutu

For the Christian who is worth his/her salt in Christ Jesus as a true follower must be ready for such connectedness within  and without

God wants His children to be united in body and in the spirit to be able to confront and combat our number one enemy, the devil. This state of unity is practiced in the secular world by nations and governments in various alliances and brotherhoods that are formed to stand against foes and ‘weaker’ nations alike.

When Christians unite, they become a force to reckon with by spiritual forces that trouble the church continually

Jesus Christ endured the cross for this purpose of redemptive change for humanity’s sake.

Romans 16:-20; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27;

The church in Corinth is a typical example of modern day chaos and disunity that plagues the church with many factions and competing groups (1 Corinthians 1:10) disorder reigned in their varios assemblies, Their practices were misguided and corrupted. Paul had to quickly intervene and help them see the true state of their servitude. These were 'religious sinners', they engage in more sinful acts than those in the world but they CLOAK their sins with churchiousness!

1 Cor. 11:23-26

Matthew 13:25-30 (NKJV)

²⁵ but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. ²⁶ But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. ²⁷ So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ ²⁸ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ ²⁹ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. ³⁰ Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” ’ ”
