Have you ever had doubts about your salvation? Satan will try and tell you that you are not saved and that you don’t believe in Christ as your Savior.

However, if you received Christ as your Savior you are a child of God. Acts 16:31 Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved KJV.

You can read the story of John the Baptist in Luke 7:19-22. One day John began to doubt Jesus even though he preached to the people that they should repent and be baptized. He was pointing people to Jesus as the way to God through Jesus and yet he started to doubt him.

Let’s take a look how Jesus handled the situation. In verse 22 Jesus told John’s disciples to go back to John and tell him all the wonderful things Jesus was doing for people. He was helping John through his doubts.

Another time one of Jesus’s disciples began to doubt Jesus after Jesus rose from the dead. Thomas was one of Jesus’s disciples and he told the disciples he would not believe unless he could put his fingers in his nail prints and in his side. How did Jesus handle Thomas’s doubts? Jesus told Thomas to reach his hand into the nail prints and into his side. Jesus also told him to not be faithless but believing.

It is wonderful that we are given these to stories about John and Thomas so we can see that even men of God back in Jesus day had doubts. So we should simply trust Jesus and thank God that he understands our doubts and he will help us through them just as he did in his time.
