 Ten years ago, this March 14^th, my mom went to be with Jesus. When she was about 25 years she accepted Christ at a youth for Christ rally. If it weren’t for Jesus coming to earth to sacrifice his life for all who would believe she would not be in heaven. In Romans 3:23 we read, “ for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God”.  Romans 5:1 states,  “therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ”. So, just as we have all sinned, anyone who received God’s wonderful gift of eternal life will receive peace with God through Christ. The peace he is speaking about is a knowledge that we know we belong to Christ and have eternal life. Romans 6:23 states,” For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”. Eternal life is a gift from God and ours for believing in Christ as our Savior.

The Bible is full of wonderful promises about what God has planned for his children. For example, in John 5::25 we are told, “verily, verily, I say unto you he that heareth my word and believeth on him that sent me hath everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life”. God will help us to live for him, but not to earn Salvation, for that is free for the asking. God has truly blessed us through Christ. KJV
