A Good Man And An Evil Man

You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. Matthew 12:34-35 NIV

Jesus addresses the leaders just as John the Baptist had, calling them a brood of vipers.

It is true. That which comes forth from the mouth is that which lies within the heart. Given time one can know if another belongs to Christ or not by seeing what comes forth from one’s heart through words spoken and actions done or not done.

Can a person who does not belong to Christ do good deeds? Yes, they can. But over time, by watching someone you will be able to tell if they are here for self, or if they are here for the betterment of their fellow man.

If you have the love of Christ within you, wonderful. If you are full of evil and hate, turn to Christ before it is too late.
