“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28” NIV

What a wonderful invitation and promise we have here from our Lord. Let me assure you, Jesus keeps all His promises. He has a perfect record in keeping promises.

 The world can fill our hearts, minds, and souls with so many lies and noisy clatter. Promises from others are not kept. Uncontrollable circumstances occur. We are bombarded at every corner. No wonder so many become miserable wrecks, seeking relief through medication that numbs. This is just a band-aid.

The solution to all that the world throws our way is to turn our lives over to Jesus Christ. He offers us an invitation to come to Him. If we come, with a humble and contrite heart, seeking for Him to abide in us, He will do so, and then, we shall find rest. The rest one in Christ finds cannot be supplied by this world. This is because our eyes have been opened to truth by the Lord. We now live our lives for Him, and not for ourselves. And the rest for which our souls had searched now permeates our inner being.

Rest in Christ. The world has nothing on you!
