“Anyone who welcomes you welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. Whoever welcomes a prophet as a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and whoever welcomes a righteous person as a righteous person will receive a righteous person’s reward. And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.” Matthew 10:40-42 NIV

We are told by Christ that one who welcomes one who belongs to Him shall be rewarded. The one who welcomes a prophet as such shall receive a prophet’s reward. When you share the Good News with someone, you can also share this with them. Hopefully this will also provide encouragement to them to turn around and share the Good News with others that they know.

Our Lord does not lightly make promises to us, and we know that the Lord is perfect in delivering on the promises which He makes. So, share God’s word with others, encouraging them to share it with those they know. You are doing that which pleases the Lord.
