Pick Up Your Cross

“Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it. Matthew 10:37-39 NIV

Anyone who does not love Jesus more than anyone else is not worthy of Him. We are to love others, but, we are to love Christ first. He must be the one sitting on the throne to our heart, mind, and soul. We must do all that we do for Him. We truly must love Christ with everything that is in us.

We must choose to pick up our cross, daily, and follow Christ. It is a choice. It must be our desire and not just our obligation to do so. Those who try to find their lives will lose them. But, those who lose their life to follow Christ, shall be with Him forever. You must make the choice. No one can do it for you. Choose Christ. You shall not regret your choice.
