The Student and the Teacher

“The student is not above the teacher, nor a servant above his master. It is enough for students to be like their teachers, and servants like their masters. If the head of the house has been called Beelzebul, how much more the members of his household!” Matthew 10:24-25 NIV

If we be followers of Christ should we not expect to be treated as He was treated? Jesus was rejected by the Jewish leaders, as well as many of the people of His time. It is no different today. Most aren’t interested in the idea of dying to self. We who follow Christ should expect to be treated in the same manner by most of the people of this world. There are lost souls, though, who are looking for the answer for their restless soul. We must share the Good News with all. We may be rejected, or persecuted. This form of treatment is the same which the Master received. Follow in the steps of Christ.
