When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Matthew 9:36-38 NIV

The human soul is bombarded by the deceptive lies of the evil one. The world is focused on that which advances self. There is mass competition for limited earthly desires. Yet, these desires, when met do not provide content. The more one has, the more one desires more. That which is of this world is temporary, now and forever.

The searching soul of man needs Jesus Christ. The harvest is plentiful. Many souls have not found the Lord. Unfortunately, the workers available to bring the message to the searching soul is limited. We must be diligent in the work we do for our Lord. Time is short. We know not the day nor the hour of our Lord’s return. Count it as a true blessing to be a messenger of the Word. It is Christ alone that can provide salvation to the hurting soul. Spread the Word, speak of Jesus Christ.
