Healing the Possessed

When he arrived at the other side in the region of the Gadarenes, two demon-possessed men coming from the tombs met him. They were so violent that no one could pass that way. “What do you want with us, Son of God?” they shouted. “Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?” Some distance from them a large herd of pigs was feeding. The demons begged Jesus, “If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.” He said to them, “Go!” So they came out and went into the pigs, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and died in the water. Matthew 8:28-32 NIV

Evil can bring fear to man. It can overcome and enslave one. The world is full of evil. Yet, evil cannot be in the presence of God. Christ won victory over evil. The freedom which Christ provides is made available to all who believe in Him. Christ healed these two men, even though no one else dared approach them. Man may run from evil, yet, they shall not escape the claws of evil unless they turn their lives over to Jesus Christ. Christ is the only way victory can be received over evil. There is no other way to avoid enslavement to evil.

If Jesus healed these two demon-possessed men, He will heal the heart and soul of all who turn to Him. Healing comes from the Master.
