Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!” Matthew 8:23-27 NIV

A calm in the storm comes to the one who belongs to Jesus Christ. Even though Christ was with them, the disciples feared for their lives, as the wind and the waves made them feel as if they would drown. Do we feel as if we are drowning in the storms of our lives? If that be the case, then I would ask when did you last seriously take your needs to Christ? Oh, we of such little faith. Our faith must be in the Master. If He calmed the seas which frightened the disciples, won’t He also calm the storms within our lives?

Our faith, at times is tested. Faith grows through being tested. Christ is with you. Ask Him, humbly, to calm the storm within your heart and soul. Claim the peace and joy He has given to you!
