“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. Matthew 7:15-20 NIV

We must be aware of false prophets. A false prophet either does not speak truthfully about Christ, or does not put the words of Christ into action within their lives. False prophets will tell you that you of yourself can change for the better. To change ourselves to be pleasing to God, we must have the Holy Spirit indwell us. We must obey Christ. Do not believe the false prophets. Change within is prompted by God’s spirit if it is to be for His kingdom’s advancement. False prophets focus too much on the me attitude rather than what God wants. They speak of financial blessing, better health, better state of mine…me, me, me. The focus needs to be on Christ, loving, as He loved, being kind and merciful, like Him, and serving others, and not ourselves.

Do not be fooled by the false prophets. Abide in Christ.
