“Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 7:9-12 NIV

We, as parents, provide good gifts for our children. Many a parent desires that their children have a life better than they did. Our heavenly Father wants to provide us all that we need. He needs to hear from us. He gave us His Son Jesus, as the greatest gift of all. Jesus took our sins with Him to the cross, that we might be eternally reconciled to our Heavenly Father.

What do the Father and Christ ask of us? Here, Jesus tells us that we should treat others the way we wish to be treated. Most people wish to be treated justly, with kindness and respect. We should treat them in such a manner. If we are treated wrongly by someone, are we to do the same? NO. We are to treat them the way we wish to be treated.

Treat all just as Christ treated others. Love as God loves
