Maybe I’m not a workaholic;
Maybe I have an odd work schedule.

Maybe I’m not in danger of isolation;
Maybe I’m reveling in my time of introversion.

Maybe I’m not divisive;
Maybe I have strong, healthy boundaries.

Maybe I’m not a rebel;
Maybe I am daring to be who God created me to be.

Maybe I’m not lonely;
Maybe I truly enjoy my own company.

Maybe I’m not anti-social;
Maybe I’m deeply relational and dread superficial conversations.

Maybe I’m not a reactionary;
Maybe I’m passionate about freedom, creative expression, and authenticity.

Maybe I’m not judgmental;
Maybe I’m speaking the painful truth and it’s your last chance to repent.

Maybe I’m not insecure;
Maybe I’m just more capable of being vulnerable and honest about my weaknesses.

Maybe I’m not competing with you;
Maybe I’m concentrating on my unique radical path and wish you the best.

Maybe I’m not in conflict with you;
Maybe I have the ability to agree to disagree and still like others.

Maybe I don’t despise your subculture;
Maybe I just prefer other cultures much better than yours and even my own.

Maybe I’m not aloof;
Maybe I’m just preoccupied with something urgent and important.

Maybe I’m not sad;
Maybe it just feels phony for me to smile all the time.

Maybe I’m not ignoring you;
Maybe I just don’t share everything that is going on in my life.

Maybe I’m not unloving;
Maybe I just don’t speak your top love languages.

Maybe I’m not weird;
Maybe I don’t fit in any of the small and limiting boxes you are trying to place me in.

Maybe I’m not rich;
Maybe I’m good at finding thrift store treasures and great deals.

Maybe I’ve never gotten any special privileges;
Maybe every good thing I’ve gotten comes from the favor of God.

Maybe there’s nothing wrong with me;
Maybe I am simply doing the will of God.

Maybe I’m not scary;
Maybe you’re intimidated by the fire of God in me.

Maybe I’m not a wildcard;
Maybe I just don’t know how to play reindeer games.

Maybe it’s not that I lack common sense;
Maybe I just move in the realm of faith and Godly wisdom.
