I have been meditating on Psalm 8 which is about how God has given his children dominion over the works of His hands. It is about our kingship.

Here David writes about pondering the moon and the stars. Of late, NASA has returned its probe from Saturn and there are plenty of photos that show its texture, atmosphere, and moons.

So, I decided to study Saturn. I even read the conspiracy theories because you knew I would. I’ve known that Saturn is the Roman name for Satan. I found YouTube videos that say Saturn is where Satan’s throne is, and others that say that’s where God’s throne is. For once I don’t have a clear opinion. All I know is that God created it so it doesn’t matter who is on it now.

I really just wondered why there was a ring around Saturn. It turns out that there are many colored rings and they are the debris of a moon or an asteroid. Whatever it was it came too close to the gravitational pull of the planet and then exploded.

It reminded me that Satan came too close to trying to be God and that plan exploded on him when Jesus rose from the dead. That ring reminds me of an everlasting covenant between Jesus and His bride. Hank Fields says about those rings, “It is a beautiful remnant of a bad break-up."

Even thought Adam and Even messed up, Jesus cleared things up. He made it beautiful again.

I began to think about all the things that happened in my life that appeared bad and what I learned from those things. I realized that some of it was training - Go figure. There were parts of me that still need to be beautified. I am grateful that I never suffered from the mental illness that many of my relatives did/do because I went through deep inner-healing. Thank you Jesus!!!

I had a bad break up with God right before I was born again. It was shocking that He decided to show up, but come to think of it, nobody intimidates Him; After all I was communicating with Him. It’s just that I was yelling. And then I meet Him and He's so peaceful yet has this fire in His eyes. How strange and beautiful is our story. 

Whatever horrible things happen in our life I ask for God to turn those ashes into beauty. I think we are all called to become beautiful remnants of a bad breakup. Amen.
