By light of day, we see the earth:
The trees, the hills, blue skies;
The mountain peaks above the clouds,
The glow of each sunrise.

But oh, at night, we look beyond,
And stretched in grandeur far
The matchless dome of heaven spreads,
With moon and glitt'ring star.

The light of day reveals earth's joys,
This fleeting mortal span;
But shades of night take us beyond
The realms well-known to man.

There hang the worlds like lamps of gold
In unwinged flight through space;
Each flaming tribe as nights unfold,
Their message we can trace.

So if the shadows gather 'round,
Oh look beyond, above,
Behold the boundless depths of God,
His wisdom--and His love.
