For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. Ephesians 3:14-17a NIV

How often is your praying done by kneeling? I know that most of my praying is done while sitting in a chair, or on a couch. There seems to be something about “getting comfy” for prayer. Maybe I need to take my comfort out of time in prayer.

God, out of His glorious riches has provided us with power through His Spirit. This is no earthly power, nor can it be matched by any earthly power. It is a power that comes to us from Almighty God, through the Holy Spirit. Through this awesome power given to us by God’s Spirit, Christ is able to dwell in our hearts. Believe me, there is nothing that can replace Christ dwelling within one’s heart. What comes to us from Christ indwelling us is insurmountable. His love, peace, and joy cannot be matched by what this world has to offer.

Just as Paul did, we should pray for all that God’s Spirit may be in others so that Christ may indwell their hearts. This is a treasure that we should pray that all may be willing to receive it. Pray for others to accept Christ. Pray for those who belong to Christ, that He dwells actively in their hearts.
