His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence. Ephesians 3:10-12 NIV

Who are the rulers and authorities mentioned in the heavenly realms within this passage? I believe this refers to angels. It is quite probable that the angels do not know everything about God. Something might be learned through the preaching of the gospel by the apostles of Jesus Christ. No one would be able to totally understand the wisdom of God, except by the Holy Trinity.

We must remember that God’s eternal purpose was accomplished through His Son, Jesus Christ. God has always wanted a loving, close connection with mankind. But, sin cannot stand in the presence of God. Therefore, Christ came to save us from our sins. Through Christ Jesus, we have been freed from the slavery of our sins. We can approach our creator in confidence through Christ, who intercedes on our behalf. We, who belong to Christ are the children of God. We will spend eternity with our Heavenly Father, and with our Lord and Savior. This was all within the perfect plan of our Heavenly Father. Blessed are we who are His children.
