What Lies Before Us

Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover.” “Where do you want us to prepare for it?” they asked. He replied, “As you enter the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him to the house that he enters, and say to the owner of the house, ‘The Teacher asks: Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?’ He will show you a large room upstairs, all furnished. Make preparations there.” They left and found things just as Jesus had told them. So they prepared the Passover. Luke 22:7-14NIV

Jesus sent Peter and John to make preparations for His final meal with them, telling them everything that will happen in their encounter to locate the proper place. I wonder what these two disciples thought to themselves as everything happened just as Jesus had told them.

Jesus knows what lies ahead of each of us, what lies around every corner. So, with this in mind, why do we have trouble of letting go of that which bothers us, and turning it over it Him?

We have been told throughout our lives that we must take control of them in order to achieve that which we desire. Do we not truly realize that there is so little in our lives over which we really have control.

Christ knows what is best for us. We belong to Him and the Heavenly Father. We are in His hands. Let go and wholeheartedly give yourselves to God. God is in control.
