You Are Special
God is calling, where art thou?

Genesis 3:8-11
And they heard the voice of the Lord God, walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees in the garden
And the Lord called unto Adam, and said unto him, where art thou?
And he said, I heard thy voice in the Garden and I was afraid, because I was naked. Hast thou eaten of the tree whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

God had given the command to man in Genesis 2:16-17 not to partake of the tree of good and evil. God calls us to serve him, to obey, to trust him, but how many times do we make excuses and pretend we don't hear God's call?

Through Adam's disobedience, sin was birth into the world and they lost their rightful place in God's presence. To be in the presence of God, it calls for a total obedience to all of his word. Obedience ushers in a sweet anointing that's only given to those special called anointed people, set aside for God's use. Sin strips you of your rightful place in God's presence. It strips you of your integrity, your identity and your purpose. You are special to God. Adam talked to God everyday in the Garden. We need a special time to be with God alone, away from everything and everybody. Everyone needs someone to talk to, someone to relate to, and someone you can tell your innermost thoughts, ideas, dreams, and the deep things of your heart to.

We don't always let others know of our things because it would be considered a sign of weakness, but in II Corinthians 12:10, it says we should take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ sake, for when I am weak, then I am strong. We are created with a deep need to relate. Sometimes we relate to the wrong people and oftentimes to quick. We sometime, because we get lonely and the least attention someone gives us we respond, we tell him or her everything they want to know, thereby setting ourselves up to be used, broken and distressed if it's the wrong person. Inside of all of us is a child who desperately needs to lean on God. In our society we are told this is a sign of weakness. Therefore we try to go at success alone, without anyone's help, especially God. But then we realize after bumps and bruises that we need God, then turns to him for help. When we can just go to him first anyway. Everybody depend on
od, but us in the European and American nations. The third world nations and the east see dependence on the spirit world as a natural part of living. Americans and Europeans have a strong sense of relief. We feel good inside, when we won't release it because of pride. We don't want to admit that we're incapable of handling life's problems alone. The pride of life, the lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh, keeps us out of the fullness of God and into sin. Sin, this sin separates us from God and keeps us from being the success God intends for us to be. Sin makes us unusable. It causes us to give into defeat and say so what.

Some things we need to be is honest with our selves, not lying, cheating, stealing, or taking unfair advantage, honorable, truthful, trustworthy, not characterized by deception or fraud, genuine, fair, having or manifesting integrity and truth, not false. The Bible says we should be men and women of an honest report, honest in God's sight, walk in honesty and to think on things that are honest. Don't deceive your own selves, God knows where we are in life and who we are.

We need to recognize that we are sinners, one that sins. In Christ we are thought to be sinless, on that sins less or not at all, one free from sin. The Bible says we've all sinned and come short of the glory of God. But God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins when we are sorry for them. Our sin is ever before us, as it is a reproach to us, but God will wash away our sins if we confess them and stop doing them. The wages of sin is death and Jesus has already bore our sins on the cross and died once for our sins. That's why the soul that sinneth shall die. We sin against each other but not only that but God also. When he forgives us our sin, he says go and sin no more. So why do we fall short over and over again with the same thing?

We need a repentant heart, become Godly sorry for all you've done, ask God to wash me clean from my guilt, purify me from my sin (as Psalms 51:2) says. That means it's been revealed, you've returned and you've been restored. Except ye repent, you can't see God. Your righteous fruity in you will bring you to repentance, as well as the goodness of God leading you. But and if you don't repent, but harden your heart, you treasure up yourselves wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who will render to every man according to his deeds.

As Romans 2:6 says we need to live God's way and not the way we want to. We are special, God is calling, where art thou?

Now man, being man, God made him that way, he has some basic needs:

1. Security - freedom from risk, or danger, safety, doubt, anxiety or fear, confidence. Anything that gives or assures safety
2. Recognition - the act of recognizing or state of being recognized. And awareness that something perceived has been perceived before. An acknowledgment, a giving of attention or favorable notice. Acceptance.
3. Love - an intense affectionate concern for another, an intense sexual desire for another, a beloved person, endearment, a strong fondness or enthusiasm for something. God's benevolence and mercy toward men, man's devotion to or adoration of God. Finally the benevolence, kindness or brotherhood that man should rightfully feel toward others. Man wants to feel love, be enamored, sexually attractive, shown agape love, not conditioned, not a price tag attached, not our of favor, but under any circumstances, to copulate, with loving regard for, to be desired, caressed, embraced, enthusiastically.
4. Adventure - man has a strong sense or adventure. An undertaking of a hazardous nature, a risky enterprise, an unusual experience or course of events, marked by excitement and suspense. To venture risk, dare. Soldier of fortune, heavy speculator, and inclined to take those daring risks.
5. Creativity - being like unto their father that created them, they are filled with creativity. The power or ability to create things. They are power or ability to create things. They are characterized by originality and expressiveness, and imaginative. God created the heavens, the man, the woman for man and all the earth.

These are sometime called drives, either individually or through a combination, they control our lives. They aren't good or evil, just simply a part of human nature. And it's this drive that carries us to that still quiet trust in God to release all of our cares to him. It is also these drives that pushes us to God or away from God, because we seek fulfillment in some selfish or perverted way, it drives us to Hell. If you don't find answers to these drives in God, your human nature will force you to find them else where, apart from God. It is when these drives are not met in God that you feel inadequate, defeated. You feel you aren't right for the part. You need to be in right relationship with God to feel you are right for the part. You feel you have been chosen, called out, set apart, ready for God's use. You are special.
