Things Ain't Always the Way They Seem

I Samuel 16:7
But The Lord said unto Samuel, look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature, because I have refused him for the Lord seeth not as man seeth, for man looketh on the outward appearance but the Lord looketh on the heart.

Countenance - aspect, appearance, especially the expression of the face, facial features, composure, bearing.

Refused - to decline to do, accept, give or allow, declines, reject, spurn, rebuff, or ignore.

See - to perceive with the eye, to apprehend as if by the sense of sight, to have a mental image of, visualize, to understand, comprehend, to regard, to view, to imagine, believe possible.

Heart - the hollow muscular organ in the vertebrate that pumps blood received from the veins into the arteries, thereby supplying the entire circulatory system. The vital center of one's being, emotions, and sensibility. The seat or repository of emotions. Emotional constitution, disposition , or mood. That means that the heart can get heavy, you can have a change of heart. Your heart can be full of compassion, full of love, affection, your heart can be won over, it holds your inner strengths or character, your fortitude, it's lovable, loyal, courageous, the central or innermost part. The basic or essence, the hart of the problem what's causing this or that. The heart is hollow, which means it has to be filled with something. Is your heart after God? Do you obey him in all things? A heart after God, does what God word says and obey his commandments. They live for God.

God looks at some of our hearts and what he sees, he refuses to bless. We dress sanctified on the outside, but our hearts is full of rottenness inside:

1. We don't love like he say, we have our picks and chooses of who we will love
2. We have envy, strife, jealousy, and every evil work in our hearts
3. We don't obey, whether to do good or bad we do what we want to do. Our wills must die and our lives become that of Yes Lord, nevertheless not my will, but your will be done.
4. We shun our sister and brothers, not to mention the sinner man.
5. We dip and slip every chance we have, ducking and hiding around every corner, playing the role of the harlot.

But God doesn't want us to have no parts of this. He said in Isaiah 35:8, that there's a highway and a way that we should walk and on that highway you won't find room for any wrong. You don't have to submit to man's desire when you know what the will of God is for your life. God's promises are yours when you obey. What God hath prepared for you, will you qualify for them? God has to prep you or prepare you to receive and keep your blessing.

What do you want God to do in your life, what are you willing to give, what are you willing to accept. Anyway God wants to bless you. You should be open to receive it.
What you have to do is obey. When the enemy presents himself to you, you need to:

God say see not, what you see aint what really appears first, first came a duplicate of what God really have for you. Almost real, but not. Their speech will usually betray them. Wait on God's manifestation of what's to reign in your life. Sort through what's real and not. Satan always brings you, what seems like or what looks like, rebuke him.

God say touch not - the Bible says to touch no unclean thing. This means anything that's not godly is unclean, even your girlfriend or boyfriend. They are just that unclean if you touch them in the wrong way. Paul says in I Corinthians the seventh chapter; that he wished that all would be as he, touch not, but if you can't contain, then you need to marry.

God say feel not - we need to be careful about our emotions. Our emotions will flip us on the other side of doom. We have to be careful about what we feel and how we feel. We deal with emotions and they take us off into left field sometime and we can get lost out there if we can't catch hold of ourselves. Serving God aint in how we feel.

God say taste not - be hungry for the word and righteousness. The Bible says that we should have a hunger and a thirst after righteousness. Taste of nothing else that the world has to offer. Tasting causes you to vomit some things. Some things we need to throw out of our lives. They don’t mean you or themselves any good, wait on the real thing, God.

Man would have us doing it all, because we put trust in their abilities rather than God.
God say see not, touch not, feel not, and taste not. We don't have to bow down. We must go through the test and see who is trust worthy, man or God and when we find that God is faithful then we need to stay with God. Things ain't always the way they seem.

Man has a strong urgency to lie and deceive where ever and whatever and whoever it takes to get what the flesh wants. But be not deceived, God is not mocked, whatsoever a man soweth, that also shall he reap. If you sow to the flesh, of the flesh ye will reap, but if you sow to the spirit, of the spirit shall ye reap/

Matthews 6:1
Take heed that ye do not your alms before man to be seen of them, otherwise you have no reward of your father, which is in heaven.

Don't sound a trumpet as the hypocrites to have glory to yourself, for you will have your reward. When you give your offering, that's between you and God, when you sing, it's unto the Lord, not man. When you pray, it’s unto God, not man. People always wanting to be seen are running short on God's glory. They are seeking to please man, rather than God.

Matthew 6:21 say for where your heart is, there will your treasure be also. Jesus never sought to make a reputation for himself, but he did many wondrous works.
He possessed the gifts of the spirit as well as the fruits. He brought these down from heaven with him, and he lived them here in the earth, being found guiltless. In one instance, he turned water into wine. You know the story of the feast where they run out of wine and Jesus told them to fill the pots with water. They put water in the pots, they had the form of water, but water only was in the posts. So how did it turn to wine? The water was what they wanted it to be, wine. They most probably were already drunken and greedy for more. After they had drunk the new wine, they said you saved the best for last. Water is different in taste. Behind a drink of any kind, it is the best unbeknown unto those that were drunk. Sometime what we want and need is two different things

When God rained down manna from heaven in Exodus 16:15 to a hungry people, the manna filled them. They knew not what it was, to some it was meat, turkey, and mustard greens, whatever they wanted it to be.

All the time things ain't what they seem. Believe not every spirit, but try the spirit and see if it's of God. Try the reigns of people hearts. Try them and see their faithfulness. Try them and see if God rules their lives. Things aren't real in how you feel, but when you are put out of your comfort zone, you will see how much you love God.
