God Expects Us To Do What We Say

The person is you
The problem is sin
The prescription is to do what God say by keeping and doing his word, live righteously

Proverbs 22:1
A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favor rather than silver and gold.

Having a word and a good name is far better than rubies, the word by which a person, place, or thing is called. A good name is virtuous, honorable, rich, and full of mercy and has God’s divine favor. For what profit is there in money if you were rich and no one could trust anything you say or do, if all your dealings were a lie. God forbid. All of our riches are in having a good name, doing what we say. If you say you are going to do this or that, then this is what you should do.

God expects us to do what we say, just like we expect people to do what they say. If we say we will live one way, God expects it. If we say we trust God, then he expects us to trust him no matter what comes or goes. Our trust should be in God and god alone. Yes we should have trust in people but we should trust God more. Man or woman can fail us and our confidence in them can be shattered. We can hope in them but what is hope if they shatter it. Can you do what you say? Is your word far above rubies? Our word and name should be that of divine favor. It should carry so much of weight that we don’t need money. What’s in a name, at the name of Jesus every knee must bow and every tongue shall confess. What’s in a name, at the name of Jesus devils tremble, they flee. Just like Jesus we have power if our name is written in the book of life. If our markings by our name is that of what God expects. God expects us to do what we say.

Who or what trembles when you walk in a room. Are there any confessions made to you when someone wrongs you? Are the people you come in contact with reverencing the God in you? What reverence is in your name? James 4:7: b says we should resist the Devil and he will flee. But instead we embrace the Devil, and don’t really see him because we don’t stand still and listen. We don’t quiet ourselves long enough to listen. It’s time we be quiet and seek God for ourselves.

The Devil wants to steal everything you’ve got. He’ll steal your joy, your children, your husband, your wife, your finances, your heart, and your mind. He will steal everything you’ve got, your self worth, your good name, and your word. He doesn’t care anything about you, it’s all about him and his agenda, that hidden agenda that you don’t see, he comes to steal, kill, and destroy. He will use you up and destroy you.

He makes a fool out of us. He causes us to be puffed up, full of pride, operate in a haughty spirit and after you have sinned and you know you aren’t right but you’re still operating like you are right, the devil will steal every thing you’ve got.
When you sin and you know that you have, the only way to keep your relationship and get back right with God is to repent and stop doing the thing, say no to it the next time and every time afterwards. The Devil don’t give up on you, you just have to show him that you mean business. God expects us to do what he has commanded. When we show that we mean business, then the Devil has to deal with God, because you name is favorable unto God. We have to stay in right standing with God.

Don’t let your mind become bogged down with the affairs of this world. It will cause you not to study or pray like you would ordinarily. The Devil seeks to steal you mind, your body, and ultimately your soul, but God expects us to do what we say. No man can serve two masters, either you will love the one, and hate the other. On, with God will build you up, give you a good name, and grant you unmerited favor, but the Devil will steal all of that from you. Can you do what you say? God expects us to.

When we pick up things in our lives, on our own and make a mess of them, we still have to come back to God. Ask God to clean up the mess and don’t do it anymore. Don’t vow that you want do it, just don’t do it. For it is better not to vow a vow than make one and break it. We not others, as we like to blame, make our own messes when we don’t obey. Then we have to depend on God to fix it. Just do what you say and God expects us to do what we say.

We need to put our past under our feet, maintain our deliverance and live with our God given uniqueness, be man and women of integrity. The war going on inside of us is the physical and emotional infirmities, the trauma, the things that can handicap us to become dependent on other things, rather than God. Relationships can be crutches to us and sometime this crutch carry us off into unhealthy relationships. Relationships that profit nothing and you need healing. Healing that come from God, not from running through other people lives. Hurting people need to break the habit of using other people as a narcotic to numb the dull aching of an inner void. Only Jesus can fill this void and the only way he can is you have to give him full control. Do what you say, he expects you to. Be dependent upon God to create a sense of wholeness in your life. Clinging to people is different than loving them. Like lust, it is very selfish, taking and not giving. Love is giving, and God is love. He proved his love not by his need in us, but by giving to us.

People on the outside can easily criticize and assume that the infirmities in our life lack effort and fortitude, but that is not always the case. Some people can pray and deliver others but they themselves are impotent when it comes to them and their limitations.







Many things cause disappointments and depressions, divorce, low self-esteem, even natural problems, but they are all rooted in spiritual ailments. The greatest healing balm is the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit is forgiveness. To forgive is the link between you and your past. The hardest on to forgive us sometime is ourselves. Your past doesn’t necessarily dictate the outcome of you future. When you realize this then you release the hurt. God will give the grace of releasing where you have been so you can receive what he has for you now.

God expects us to do what we say, no matter what comes or goes. Hold fast your faith and seek God for what he wants to happen in your life.
