What Is Truly To Be Sought

And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well. Luke 12:29-31 NIV

Oh, the many things we can choose to worry about. We are bombarded constantly by much which leads to worry. And often we choose the wrong routes for eliminating or sedating the worries. People turn to alcohol and to drugs. Others may choose solutions which are less destructive. Yet there is truly only one answer to the problem of worry.

Jesus has the answer for us about worrying. First, we are to seek the kingdom of God. When we earnestly and truthfully do such, we are provided that which we need. We can turn to the Lord in prayer, asking Him to help us in seeking God’s kingdom. We can ask that He take away our worry, that He carry it for us. Then we can actively seek God’s kingdom.

Is it not so wonderful that our Lord has the answers to our difficulties? We just must learn to trust in Him and to be confident, yet humble in taking our cares to Him. The Father and the Son have such an abundance of love for us. We just must learn to accept it and to totally trust in His true care of us.

Cast all your cares on Him. He so cares for you!
