Never try to baptize a cat! It's weird -- our Tigger can be out in
pouring rain, but if you try to wash him, be prepared for a real
scratching session.

Do cats mourn? Our Tigger is Betty's pal. Tigger can be sleeping
on a chair next to my computer, but he must have an inner sense
that tells him when Betty lies down on the couch for a nap. Within
a few minutes, he's out there waiting for her to say OK, then he
jumps up, sprawls out next to her and they take a nap. I got to
wondering, if something happened to Betty, would Tigger mourn
and how would he show it?

Mourning is a very real and human reaction. Some of you are
dealing with mourning right now, and having to go through it at
this time of the year only increases the grief. Knowing that the
process was very normal and real for every person in this world
who preceded us doesn't make it any easier.

Those outside of the family of God who deal with grief have to
go it alone, but those who enjoy faith in Christ have an ever-loving
Savior to share their grief. That doesn't take it away, but it eases
the burden. Deut 33:27 says, "The eternal God is thy refuge, and
underneath are the everlasting arms." LEAN ON THEM! Yes, if
you are struggling with grief right now, be assured that "Learning
to Lean" is not just a song, it's a comfort extraordinaire. Claim
your leaning rights.
