YOU BUILD

When I was growing up, we had this attitude of “it belongs to all” and it was going well. Growing up among many boys and girls, I could wear any of my brothers’ clothes, shoes and other things. It was like nobody owned anything and nobody had the attitude of “this is my own” In the course of time, several changes were cribbing in and ownership awareness came in too, some people could say “this is my Shirt”, “I built that”. To some eyes this was normal but to some minds, the aftermath was visible. I still could hear sayings like Brother so and so built that house, the foundation of that building was started by person so and so and this has introduced what I call “property awareness” 1 Timothy 5:8 “But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever” (ESV). This is the scripture pointing out our errors and the need for all of us to revisit the road of correction and set things right. Contempt has taken over the family, superiority has given room for “inferiority complex” among family members. If I use this toilet then it is ok, but if you use it, I consider that not ok because you may infect it. What makes me better than you? Your answer is as good as mine. Maybe lets’ say “opportunity”. Let’s take a walk into the scriptures Micah 7:6 “For the son treats the Father with contempt, the daughter rises up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house. So many have been called wicked, witches, good for nothing and so many names has the seed of hatred, jealousy, envy and strife continues to grow, the peace continues to die off. Has much as expect people to give in much for us, let us try to reciprocate in attitude and approach to life in general, I call that “Value creation” .

If only I can control my tongue, and if only you can moderate your thoughts, the family you dream of will be just where you are living. Proverbs “10:12 “Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers all wrongs; 18 “Whoever conceals hatred with lying lips and spreads slander is a fool”. Romans 12:9 “Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good”.

Is high time you (I) reset the course of things, they has been a high level negligence and it is high time you settle the wondering issues in your mind and dismiss the committee in your head Matthew 5:23-24 “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you”; 24” Leave your gift there in front of the altar, first go and be reconciled to them, then come and offer your gift”. 

Luke 6:27-28 “But to you who are listening I say; love  your enemies, do good to those who hate you; 28 “bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you”. Cause this is your time to build a home.
