THE BOILING FROG SYNDROME

What are you scared of he asked the young pretty lady who probably is at her sixteen, and with a terrifying look and a thought of “I can’t do this!” she hurried out of the bed and stood close to the window gazing outside, and she turn to him and said “ I have never been this scared”. What was she scared of? Your answer is as good as mine.

Let’s take a walk into the scriptures, Genesis 39 vs 7, 9. To Joseph he termed it Great wickedness, to Caleb is was a Distrust, to Daniel it was Defilement, to the three Hebrew children it was Idolatryand to the Apostles is was Betrayal.  Joseph was a handsome young man with a promising future (dream revealed). He definitely didn’t get it easy with family, which of course many depend on, and up the ladder to his destiny, He found himself in a pit and then to Potiphar’s house as a slave. He encounter an obstacle “a woman”, are women a problem- No! Let’s go further, Genesis 39:7 “And after a while his masters wife took notice of Joseph and said, “Come to bed with me!” verse 9 joseph replied “…how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? Many young people go through this every day at home, offices, schools and other places. Joseph didn’t desire it, he never imagined it but it still came to him. Sexual immorality and perverseness has sieved many souls from the path of God. Christ warnings- 1Corinthians 6:7; Colossians 3:5. As many delight pleasure in sin “She (He) that liveth in pleasure is dead while she (he) liveth”. This is because our body is the temple of God not a walking machine that can be used anyhow 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Romans 12:1.

Hey young lady, you think you are in love in that relationship and your body a price to keep it going? No! No!!

I heard somebody say I am looking for compatibility and the question is how many girls or boys are you going to kill your soul with in this your "Compatibility adventure? 2 Corinthians 6:13 “… now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. Christ is not gonna spare anyone who defiles his/herself no matter who you are; A Choir girl, the Preacher man, a church leader, I’m not a Christian, anyone. “know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God” (1corinthians 6:9) “for which things sake the wrath of god cometh on the children of disobedience.

“Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth…” (Col 3:5). Christ demands that we have control over our eyes against lust, minds against evil imaginations and emotions against irrational decisions that defiles the body. Get control of it, you got what it takes “But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection …” (1 Corinthians 9:27). That’s not easy! Ya that isn’t but not impossible. Genesis 39:12 “ And she caught him by his garment and saying, lie with me; and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out. That is the right move for everyone who has decided to… Colossians 3:2 “set you minds on things above (Heaven), not on the earthly things” (NIV)…get to Heaven.

Let’s consider this, put a Frog in a vessel of water and start heating the water, as the temperature of the water rises, the frog is able to adjust its body temperature accordingly. The frog keeps on adjusting with increase in temperature. Just when the water is about to reach boiling point, the frog is not able to adjust anymore. At that point the frog decides to jump out but is unable to do so, because it has used all its strength in adjusting with the water temperature. Very soon the frog dies. What killed the frog? Many of us will say the boiling water but the truth is what killed the frog was its own inability to decide when it had to jump out.You don’t need to adjust to fit into the world, you don’t need to compromise to be loved, you don’t need to pretend to please her or him, you just need to take your stand and know when to fly out (Joseph knew that). Just saw this now, hey young girl you feel lonely and thinking of that…don’t! Adjust; jump now! Hey brother is that love or lust? “My son, if sinners entice you, do not give in to them”. (Proverbs 1:10, NIV).

You may have messed up, but you can get that fixed right where you are. Check this out! “If a man be in Christ he is a new creation old things have passed away and everything has become new”. Romans 10:11 “for the scripture saith, whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed’ Yes! You got it, all you have to do is to turn to Christ now not later and admit your sins, believe, confess and repent of them all and follow Him. That way guilt is gone and you’re as clean as a new born baby born on the 25th December and everybody is rejoicing. God bless you.
