“If anyone hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge that person. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day. For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me to say all that I have spoken. I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say.” John 12:47-50 NIV

The Father told His only begotten Son what He wanted mankind to hear, what He wanted mankind to know about the Heavenly Father’s will. So, Jesus did not speak for Himself, but for the Heavenly Father. Jesus came to set captives free. He came to provide us with salvation. He came to be our mediator to the Heavenly Father. He did not seek for Himself. He sought to fulfill the will of the Father, which included providing salvation for all mankind.

Jesus came to save and not to condemn. Therefore, on the judgement day, those who do not believe will not be condemned by Christ, but by the words He spoke, which were told to Him by the Heavenly Father. God hopes that all would be saved, but, we are given a free will. Each of us must choose: choose either to believe in Jesus Christ and receive salvation and eternal life, or be slaves to sin and worldly desires, and be condemned to eternal torment, banished from the presence of God. The choice is ours. God will not make it for us. There is no sitting on the fence. The words that Jesus spoke carry the power to condemn, as they tell us what is the will of the Heavenly Father. To know and understand Jesus’ words, we must read the Bible. We must feast on the nourishment which it provides. God will reveal more daily to those who read His word. Read the word of God daily and watch your faith grows as you carry out His word.
